N. WISCONSIN - The Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources (DNR) has announced they will no longer stock splake in Lake Superior.  Splake, a hybrid of male brook trout and female lake trout, has been brought to the lake for more than 50 years.  According to the DNR, they plan to bump the number of brown trout they stock by 30-40% to make up for the dip in harvest.
