MERCER - There’s a special event coming up on Wednesday in Mercer. The Chamber of Commerce “Live After 5” is being co-sponsored by the Mercer Fire Department and the Mercer Cross Country Ski Club at the MECCA Chalet. The event will also gather holiday gifts for the Iron County Fire Association’s annual toy drive. Those attending are asked to bring a new unwrapped gift. Some of the items on the wanted list include gift cards for teens, toddler and child size underwear, socks of all sizes, pajamas of all sizes and toys, books, games and arts and craft supplies. Live After 5 is free and open to the public from 5 to 7 at the Chalet in Mercer, appetizers and soft drinks, beer and wine will be available.
