ESCANABA - The 161-year-old House of Ludington in Escanaba appears to be a total loss after a weekend fire.  The cause of the fire is not yet known.  The building manager said he called the fire department after smelling smoke.  Fire crews discovered the fire in a storage room next to the elevator on the third floor.  No reports of any injuries.
