IRONWOOD - On Saturday the Gogebic Iron Area Narcotics Team (GIANT) released information regarding a recent arrest of a woman trafficking meth into the local area. Last month GIANT Investigators learned that 32-year-old Rachael Margaret Porter had been trafficking methamphetamine into Gogebic County. During the investigation they discovered that Porter was sourcing meth from Oneida County. As part of their investigation, GIANT Investigators reached out to the North Central Drug Enforcement Group in Northern Wisconsin. They found that Porter was traveling through Iron County which led them to believe that she would be entering Gogebic County during the evening hours of November 22nd. Investigators successfully located Porter's vehicle in the city of Ironwood. Porter was taken into custody for operating a vehicle while under the influence of controlled substances. A subsequent search of the vehicle uncovered meth and cocaine. Porter has been arraigned in the 98th District Court at the Gogebic County Courthouse, with additional charges anticipated in other jurisdictions,
