GOGEBIC COUNTY – The Gogebic Range Trail Authority is out getting area snowmobile trails ready for riders this season.  The Trail Authority says they operated a tractor and a Tucker to roll trails and clear brush and trees from the recent heavy snow. However, they say there are areas of open water that need to freeze, and numerous whips still require cutting, which the Trail Authority says will take additional time to take care of. The Trail Authority says they rolled Trail 2 from Hurley to Marenisco and Trail 8 from Wakefield to Trail 11, connecting back to Trail 2.  Snowmobile Trails in Michigan officially open today for the season.
