GOGEBIC / ONTONAGON COUNTY – Hunting numbers.  Gogebic County Hunters harvested another 9 antler and no additional antlerless deer yesterday for a total of 206 antlered and 3 antlerless deer so far this season for a total of 209 deer.  In Ontonagon County Hunters Harvested another 4 antlered and 1 antlerless deer yesterday for a total of 415 antlered and 17 antlerless deer for a season total of 432.   The Michigan Gun Deer Season runs through Saturday.    The Wisconsin DNR says the weekend opening for deer hunting was safe, but harvest numbers are down slightly from last year.  Opening weekend Wisconsin hunters registered 89,203 deer the DNR says that’s down 2% and reports no hunting incidents opening weekend last year there were 2. No by-county information was available.  Wisconsin’s Gun deer season ends Sunday.
