HIGHBRIDGE – Those living in Highbridge will soon be able to post their letters at the local post office. The old post office was closed this past February and was torn down over the summer. According to Highway Commissioner Matt Erickson, the USPS plans to build a new post office similar to the one in Grandview. The county has agreed to lease land in front of the Highway Department’s Main Shop facility and work has already started. The lease lasts for 25 years and will put just over $205K in the county’s coffers. The Ashland Postmaster will serve as postmaster at the new Highbridge location.
