HURLEY - Iron County has approved a study of wages and benefits in the county and how to fund that study. The Finance Committee of the Iron County Board of Supervisors approved the $12,000 for the study. That funding will come from tribal related funds form the American Rescue Plan Act. The county has now used all ARPA funds received connected to the pandemic. There was discussion regarding the consequences of the study, and how it should be used. Overall, the committee expressed that the study was money well spent.
