WATERSMEET - The Gogebic County Sheriff’s Office reports that a crash on US 2 brought traffic between Wakefield and Watersmeet yesterday morning. A van hit a parked semi-truck in the area of US 2 and County Road 527. Traffic was diverted from the area and for some time the area was treated as a construction zone. Whether there were injuries to anyone in either vehicle is unknown. The Gogebic County Sheriff’s office reported that the Watersmeet Police Department was investigating the circumstances of the crash.
