MINOCQUA - The Minocqua Town Board unanimously rejected Kirk Bangstad’s administrative review permit (ARP) for Minocqua Brewing Company at its meeting on the 21st due to unpermitted outdoor seating. The board, noting Bangstad’s absence and history of permit violations, required the application to be resubmitted as a conditional use permit or CUP. Oneida County planning director Karl Jennrich, despite initially considering it an ARP, advised processing it as a CUP for the proposed “Elizabeth’s Art Garden” outdoor feature. Concerns were raised about parking waivers and Bangstad’s outstanding fines. The motion to reject the ARP passed unanimously.
