ONTONAGON COUNTY - UPPCO power customers can expect to see an increase in their electric bill starting the first of the year.  UPPCO say UP customers who use 500-kilowatt hours of electricity each month should expect a 5.6% increase in their monthly bill starting January 1st.  The company says the increase is needed for continued investments in distribution infrastructure, to offset costs due to inflation and higher costs from supply chain constraints.  UPPCO supplies Ontonagon County and most of the U.P. with power.
