UPPER MICHIGAN - Former Republican Rep. Beau LaFave, who represented Michigan’s 108th State House District from 2017 to 2022, says he will run for Michigan’s 38th State Senate District which includes Gogebic and Ontonagon Counties, in the 2026 election according to a social media announcement.  Republican Chris Reynolds and Democrat Kelli van Ginhoven also running for that seat.  Sen. Ed McBroom (R-38th State Senate District) cannot run again due to term limits.
