WAKEFIELD - The City of Wakefield is warning residents about reports of numerous break-ins involving both homes and vehicles and asking residents to take extra precautions.  The city suggests always locking your doors at home, in your vehicle, and on any sheds or garage. Not to leave keys inside your vehicle. The city reports that suspects have been taking keys and keeping them, which can lead to stolen vehicles or repeat incidents later and warn that some insurance companies may deny claims if the keys were left inside. Turn on exterior lights or use motion lights to deter unwanted activity and to Report any suspicious behavior immediately.
