BARAGA - MDOC staff at Baraga Correctional Facility (AMF) intercepted a package of contraband drugs from a visitor when they tried to conceal the drugs in a lobby restroom.  The department says it was the result of a months-long investigation involving several individuals, including a Muskegon woman.  According to the release, a woman arrived at Baraga Correctional Facility on Jan. 18, saying she had a scheduled visit with an incarcerated man. When she was advised no such visit was scheduled, she used the lobby restroom before leaving facility grounds.  MDOC officers found a package containing several drugs, including K2, high-potency THC wax, and suboxone strips hidden in the bathroom.  A decoy package was then placed in the bathroom. When a prisoner porter began his work shift the next morning, he collected and attempted to conceal the decoy package. He was immediately apprehended by custody staff.  The case remains under investigation.
