ASHLAND - The City of Ashland is considering the feasibility of buying the closed Northland College campus to prevent it from becoming a "ghost property" now that the college is no more. Consultant Michelle Reeves from CIVILIS Consultants is assessing the 130-acre campus's feasibility for reuse, noting its turnkey spaces. Reeves will collaborate with officials, gather information, and discuss financing with State Rep. Angela Stroud’s office to identify revenue streams and financial constraints for a "rapid reuse plan." The final step involves determining the plan's cost and financial viability, including potential city financing. Reeves expects completion by late October or early November.
