GOGEBIC COUNTY - The last of seven people arrested in a 2024 drug-trafficking investigation in Gogebic County, and Iron Counties, is scheduled for sentencing.

Daniel Hecht pleaded guilty to possession of methamphetamine after a delivery-and-manufacture charge was dismissed. Hecht missed a January court hearing, resulting in a bench warrant that remained active until September. His sentencing is set for November 12 at 2:30 p.m. The other six defendants have all been sentenced, with prison terms ranging from 10 months in jail and probation to 13 to 30 years in prison.
