IRONWOOD – Gas prices taking a double digit increase for the first full week of 2025.  Michigan drivers will notice an 11-cent increase in the state average from a week ago.  According to AAA of Michigan, motorists are now paying an average of $3.14 per gallon for regular unleaded gas. That price is 15 cents more than this time last month and 30 cents more than this time last year. The state is 8 cents higher than the national average of $3.06 per gallon.  Around Upper Michigan, the lowest average is in Baraga County at $2.90 per gallon, the highest continues to be in Mackinac County at $3.31 per gallon.  Ironwood prices at $2.99 per gallon this morning.
