MINOCQUA - Mike Trantow, a former volunteer and board member, has been named the new executive director of the Minocqua Winter Park Foundation, effective April 1st.

The Lakeland Times reports Foundation president Chad Metzger states Trantow’s extensive experience and knowledge in both Nordic skiing and mountain biking will aid the 6,500-acre park’s transition from recovery to growth following two years of challenges. Located 11 miles west of downtown Minocqua, the park offers over 53 miles of Nordic ski trails and activities including snowshoeing, tubing, skijoring, ice skating, biking, hiking, and disc golf. More information is at MinocquaWinterPark.org.
