WAKEFIELD – Fire crews from Wakefield concluded emergency response operations over the weekend at the scene of a building fire in Wakefield.  That fire started during the overnight hours in Wakefield Friday in temperatures of 25 below zero.  Fire crews were on scene until Saturday afternoon.  The main street of Wakefield is now reopened; however, it could be icy.  Fire crews expect that the remnants of that building fire will smolder for the next several days.  Nobody was injured in that fire; fire crews think the fire started in the attic of the building.
