MADISON - Hundreds of people gathered yesterday afternoon on the steps and lawn of the Wisconsin State Capitol, protesting the federal immigration crackdown in neighboring Minnesota.  Protest speakers, including a man who knew Alex Pretti, the man killed by a U.S. Border Patrol officer, said they were “sick and tired” of the violence from ICE officials. Many said the deaths of Renee Good and Alex Pretti should not have happened.  People held up signs and led chants calling for ICE to leave Minneapolis and other communities.  Madison Police Department report no incidents or issues.
