DELTA COUNTY - The Michigan State Police arrested a 27-year-old Delta County man on multiple felony drug offenses.  A Michigan State trooper initiated a traffic stop of the man for a vehicle violation in Escanaba.  The subsequent investigation resulted in placing the vehicle passenger, Jeffrey Schultz, under arrest for possession of methamphetamine and possession of cocaine with the intent to distribute.  Police say after Schultz was arrested; troopers transported him to the Delta County Jail. During the booking process, it was discovered Schultz had additional illegal drugs concealed and was charged with smuggling contraband into a jail.  Bond was set at $7,500 and Schultz is due next in court on January 30.
