IRONWOOD - Honoring Chief John Robb a Gogebic Range hero today.  Between 11:00 and 11:30 this morning Chief Robb will take his final flight over Black River Harbor.  Robb is a 2003 graduate of Luther L Wright High School in Ironwood and has served in the US Navy for 22 years earning 7 combat air Metals for air missions over Iraq and Syria.  Robbs final day of service will be February 28^th.  Everyone is welcome to witness his final flight over Black River Harbor today again between 11 and 11:30.

WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY

WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM 3 PM THIS AFTERNOON TO NOON CST WEDNESDAY for Gogebic, Iron, Ashland, Vilas and Bayfield Counties.  Total snow accumulations expected between 4 and 6 inches. Winds gusting as high as 35 mph.  WINTER STORM WARNING goes in effect for Price County and for areas of Central Wisconsin this afternoon.

GLIDDEN - A Glidden man, faces numerous sexual assault and child pornography charges across Ashland, Bayfield, and Douglas counties. Jack McCarty, 27, allegedly sexually assaulted a 15-year-old girl he met online in late 2024, knowing her age and urging her to take the Plan B morning after pills. Ashland County charges include first-degree sexual assault of a minor and strangulation with a trial set for June 10-12th. Bayfield County charges are two counts of second-degree child sexual assault with a trial set for July 8-10th. Douglas County charges involve child enticement and possession of child pornography. McCarty pleaded not guilty in April.
