N. WISCONSIN - The Wisconsin DNR is selling bonus harvest authorizations (formerly leftover permits) for the 2026 spring turkey season. The permits are $10 for residents, $15 for nonresidents. Sales start at 10 a.m. daily via the Go Wild online portal or sales agents, with a limit of one per hunter per day. Hunters must set up a secure Go Wild username/password before purchase. After all zone permits have been made available, remaining tags go on sale on the 21st at 10 a.m. Zone 6 has no bonus tags. An online queue with randomized numbers will be used for those entering 9:45-10 a.m. All spring turkey hunters need a valid license, 2026 stamp, and a harvest authorization. The spring season runs from the Youth Hunt, April 11-12th, through Period F, May 20-26th. Check the DNR website for details.

MARQUETTE – Thousands still without power this morning in the central U.P. in Marquette County following last weekend’s historic blizzard.  Upper Peninsula Power Company (UPPCO) says those without power should plan for their outage to extend through this afternoon due to significant drifting and blowing snow, which has impeded restoration work.  More than 30 inches of snow fell in the Marquette County yesterday and Sunday.
