IRONWOOD – Getting geared up for The Gogebic County Fair but in a different place, After the fires at the fairgrounds last year. Fair Board members decided to move the fair or not have one. It was decided the new spot would be the Pat O’Donnell Civic Center in Ironwood, which will cost $5ooo to rent the space. The inside of the Civic will hold a vendors market and exhibits. The midway, food and animal exhibits will be in front of the center and parking will be at GCC. Both Civic Center management and the president of GCC said helping out was a great decision for everyone in the community. The fair is happening… it starts and runs through Sunday. Admission is free, carnival ride tickets are $15 in advance and $20 at the gate. Find all the information at gogebiccountyfair.com.
