DOUGLAS / ASHLAND / BAYFIELD COUNTIES - Speed and alcohol are thought to be possible factors in a single vehicle crash Saturday night north of Brule in Douglas County. The Wisconsin State Patrol’s Spooner post said a car driving southbound on Highway H just south of Koho Road around 8:30 pm lost control, ran off the road and stuck a tree. When the Highway Patrol and the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office arrived at the scene, the two occupants of the vehicle, 27-year-old Ariel Lee Pierre of Ashland, the driver, and 28-year-old Bridget Rose Pierre of Bayfield, a passenger were found to be deceased.
