IRONWOOD - The Gogebic Community College Board of Trustees held a special meeting recently to accept the resignation of Sean Bedard-Parker, Vice President of Academics, effective August 14, 2026. The Board also selected The Registry, of Peabody, MA a nationally recognized interim executive placement firm to assist with the search for an interim Vice President of Academics.   Board members Susan Beals, Michael McPherson and John Lupino, were selected to serve on the interim Vice President of Academics search committee to develop the position profile, priorities and review the pool of qualified candidates.  The college anticipates having an interim Vice President of Academics in place within the next few weeks to ensure a smooth transition.
