NORTHERN WISCONSIN - Eyes will be on Wisconsin in this falls presidential election, but this fall’s election will serve a pivotal role to the balance of power in the U.S. Senate. Incumbent Democrat Tammy Baldwin, and her presumptive Republican challenger, businessman Eric Hovde are hoping to be elected to a tightly contested U.S. Senate. Hovde is visiting 28 northern Wisconsin counties during his Restore the American Dream Tour and started in Ashland yesterday. According to Hovde, if elected he wants to help bring the state and nation together. A study done by Marquette University Law School in June polled registered and likely voters showed 47% will likely cast a ballot for Hovde. Currently, Democrats hold the narrowest possible majority 51-49.
