ASHLAND - Senior residents who are served by Ashland County’s Aging Unit may see a reduction in services when it comes to their meals program. Chartwells at Northland College has served the center for some time, and is in contract negotiations with Northland, which is cutting budgets to the bone in order to survive. Chartwells has said it will be able to provide meals until July 15th. Last year, the Senior Meals program served over 400 residents who rely on the service over 30,000 meals . A GoFundMe page has been set up on behalf of the Seniors Meals program, with a goal of $50,000 to help continue the program as it exists now.
