UPPER MICHIGAN - The U.P. has once again been nominated for USA Today’s Readers’ Choice award as the Best Snow Destination for the 2024-25 winter season. Despite low snow totals last year, the U.P. earned the number one spot last year. According to UP Travel, the UP offers a variety of winter activities, from skiing on Michigan’s highest verticals at nine different ski resorts to snowshoeing through serene, snow-covered forests, along with 3000 miles of groomed snowmobile trails and ice fishing on the region’s frozen lakes.
