IRONWOOD - Two local cross country ski areas are in the running for USA Today’s favorite Nordic ski resort in North America. ABR Trails in Ironwood and Minocqua Winter Park are up for the top ten, competing against cross country ski areas in the US and Canada. Last year, Winter Park ranked number one and ABR was ranked third. Last year, ABR’s owner, Eric Anderson was undergoing heart surgery and he said the poll really cheered him up and helped him make through his recovery.
