MERCER - The Mercer Public Library had special guests on Monday. Governor Tony Evers and Secretary Kathy Blumenfeld visited the library to congratulate library director Julia Pusateri and library trustees Mike Nelson and Mary Warren on successfully bidding for a grant to fund the renovations of the library’s Memory Lab, Friends of the Library Meeting Room and the purchase of meeting room pods to create more workspace for library patrons. The almost $102,000 grant through the Department of Administration’s Flexible Facilities Program will allow the library to meet the community’s demands for reliable internet, space for remote work, learning and access to telehealth. The grant is funded by the U.S. Department of Treasury Capital Projects Fund, as part of the American Rescue Plan Act
